Cool place, we were greeted warmly. Its best to either get a reservation or get there before they open. The wait for the chicken coupe was about a 3hr wait, the wait for the bar not so much. 15 mins or so the atmosphere was a vibe , good playlist . The drinks on the menu are based off of cartoon characters , I chose the what's up doc which was based off bugs bunny. My friend chose the space dog which was based on lilo & stitch. Interesting food menu but we were able to find some bites. I like how playful the menu is. So we went with the lobster shiso tempura and sticky wings. The lobster shiso tempura was amazing and colorful. Sticky wings were not my steez , I think I would of liked them more crispy. Nonetheless it was a great experience and we cannot wait to go back and get the full real deal. See ya soon!

This is hands down the best bar in NYC — and one of the top bars in the world for a reason! I waited in line for over an hour before it even opened, but it was totally worth it. The drinks and food were all incredible — I honestly couldn’t pick a favorite. What made it extra special was their unique 3-course drink experience: appetizers, entrees, and dessert-style cocktails. It felt like a full tasting menu, but in drink form — so creative and fancy! The decoration is also so cool and stylish — every corner feels thoughtfully designed. An unforgettable experience that truly lived up to the hype.

This place was incredible and lived up to the hype. We got there about 30-40 minutes before they opened to wait in line which I am usually against, however this place was high on my list so we waited and it was worth it. The place has two rooms and we sat in the backroom called The Coop at the bar which had a great vibe. It also gave us the opportunity to see all the drinks being made and talk to the amazing bartenders. The cocktails are broken into three categories; appetizers, mains and dessert and they recommend you go through them like that for a sensory experience. We went out of order but in hindsight I wished I listened. I had three cocktails and all were great; the Cold Pizza, Japanese Cold Noodle and the Key Lime Pie! The Japanese Cold Noodle gave the perfect sensation of cold sesame noodles and the only thing that would have made the Key Lime Pie better would have been a slice to go with it. We also got the popcorn chicken, some of the best I've ever had and Chicken Liver Mouse. All in all this place is a must go and I can't wait to go back!

Long wait on weekend but worth it. Great ambience and service. The chicken was really tender and absolutely loved the donut combo with it. Lime cake cocktail was also yummy, didn’t taste much like alcohol but it still hit hard later. Mango rice drink was very strong though. Definitely coming back to try the other drinks!

I highly recommend Double Chicken Please, a standout bar that offers a unique and flavorful experience. One of the highlights for me was the salty egg chicken sandwich—it’s simply amazing! The flavors are rich and well-balanced, making it a must-try. While the popcorn chicken was just okay, the sauce really elevated it, adding a delicious twist. The key lime pie cocktail is another highlight. We tried five different drinks, each of them special and unique, reflecting a distinct character. Cocktail menu is unlike anything I’ve experienced in New York City. The bar does a fantastic job of incorporating Taiwanese cultural elements into their cocktails, creating a truly distinctive experience. Reservations can be hard to get but walk-ins are usually an option. The atmosphere is cozy, though it can get quite loud, adding to the lively vibe. Despite that, it’s definitely worth a visit for anyone looking for a bar that stands out from the typical NYC scene. Overall, Double Chicken Please offers a unique blend of flavors and Taiwanese culture, and I highly recommend checking it out!

The pinnacle of the bar experience! The only thing I can say as a fault is the drinks took a little while. But service, atmosphere, music volume, even the seats, everything was great. I was lucky enough to finally get a reservation for the coop at double chicken please (I’m sorry the wait for this place is ridiculous and I would not do it unless I planned on eating or doing something nearby) for 5 pm. It was awesome to walk in as they opened and get to fully see the place. Again this is my pinnacle of a bar. Drinks were sooo good and literally have not had drinks like this anywhere. We had the mango sticky rice, French toast, key lime pie, cold noodle, and the house shot. My least favorite was the house shot but that was complex as well. The Japanese cold noodle was the most surprising and refreshing. I was expecting not to like it but I really did! The French toast was my favorite (so smooth) and the mango sticky nice was strong but good. Key lime pie is everything and more. No one can not like this unless you hate lime lol. If you get a reservation come! We just ate a Clinton st so I didn’t try any chicken but I WILL BE BACK! I will try those world renowned sandwiches.

WOW! I was ready to be against this spot off rip solely based on its incredibly high artificial top bar rating. I started to question how this bar received such treatment so fast. And then I went to the back bar. HOLY! The tall bartender there looks like the Jimi Hendrix of bartenders. Cool, collected, in control of the bar and cocktail experience. The menu in the back bar is a trip - the menu looks like food but the flavors work. As a bartender I totally looted the Japanese cold noodle by adding drops of fish sauce, sesame oil, some rum, pineapple shrub and muddled cucumbers. I came in with a negative perspective but an open mind and left pleasantly surprised and added this bar to my must visit list. This is a bar where you can receive a unique cocktail experience. The flavors, glassware and garnish were perfect. Hats off to the team and head bartender. Whoever decides to go and do that formula elsewhere will be paid handsomely.

Really awesome place! Highly recommend and would go back. Very pricey so save it for special occasion. Get a reservation or show up early in line though. This place fills up fast! And the line queue outside during wintertime on the windy street isn’t great. The drinks are the best, most creative we’ve ever had! Their mixologists are onto something with the vastly diverse and interesting tastes. Loved every sip. Food menu is very limited but what was on it is delicious too. If you’re not into fried chicken then maybe eat beforehand. Service and ambiance specular. Spacious but feels like a speakeasy. Given the popularity they do time you pretty strictly though.
